Shiba's Turmeric is comprised of the fresh-ground root of the Curcuma Longa plant, creating an aromatic, mildly pungent and bitter flavor. Try adding 1/8 to 1/4 of a teaspoon to any curry meal in preparation, including lentils, meats, vegetables, pasta, potato, chutney, fish or other dishes. The turmeric spice has been linked to reducing stomach and liver ailments, eye disorders, Alzheimer's and cancer. It can also be used for antiseptic purposes, or even cosmetic purposes.
